Project Background
People reentering society from correctional facilities in Nebraska often face enormous hurdles. The Mental Health Association of Nebraska (MHA) offers several programs run by peers who know what it's like to rebuild a life following incarceration. By offering transitional housing, employment support, and basic needs services, the Mental Health Association of Nebraska is on a mission to ensure that all individuals find themselves on a stable path to reentry.
Reentry was commissioned by MHA, and produced remotely by the Needle and Frame team during COVID-19.
Impact
-
Greater public awareness of MHA's resources after broadcast within state-wide correctional facilities.
-
Renewed and increased state funding for MHA after video was screened in a government session.
-
Increase in MHA donor engagement, fundraising capacity, and major gifts received.
